They aim to empower deaf people to take control of their own lives, by developing their potential and supporting them to achieve independence. They provide assistance and advice on a range of topics, including health, welfare, education and employment.

SignLive is a remote British Sign Language (BSL) interpreting service. They use experienced NRCPD registered interpreters to facilitate easy, over-the-phone communication between Deaf individuals and companies/ service providers. The app is available on iTunes and Google Play Store. The service is on-demand and open 24/7.

SignVideo is a Video Relay Service (VRS) and Video Remote Interpreting Service (VRI) which ensures smooth communication between Deaf individuals and companies/ service providers, both over-the-phone and in-person. Interpreters can be contacted via the app or through the SignVideo website, where a directory of companies is available. The app is available on iTunes and Google Play Store. The service is on-demand and open 24/7.

Acting as a “screen reader for Deaf people”, Signly provides BSL video translation of written text on websites which users can access by clicking the two hands in the bottom right of the page and hovering over their desired text.

Users can also request translations of untranslated text.
